Wine Polyphenols and Health: Quantitative Research Literature Analysis

The relationship between wine polyphenols and health has been receiving growing scientific attention in the last few years. To confirm this point, proposed paper identifies major contributors to academic journals regarding relationships health. endpoints of study are provide a comprehensive overview analysis literature polyphenol based on bibliometric analysis. Bibliometric data were extracted from Scopus online database using search string TITLE-ABS-KEY (wine AND polyphenol* OR (“french paradox” “cardiovascular disease*” atherosclerosis microbiota) analyzed VOSviewer software generate bubble maps visualize obtained results. This perspective analyzes: (i) research themes addressing health; (ii) contributors’ origin, e.g., country and/or regions; (iii) institutions where is based; (iv) authors; (v) type paper. These results represent useful tool identify emerging directions, collaboration networks, suggestions for more in-depth searches.
